These are very simple, straightforward prayers.  Because they are so brief, you will probably memorise them easily. When you pray, mention the name of the person or persons you are praying for. You may want to develop your own prayers. It is recommended they be simple and short, so that you can pray them every day; that is the commitment.

 

For the Bishop, priests and deacons

Heavenly Father, we praise you for Your Glory; Lord Jesus Christ, we thank You for your steadfast, saving love, we pray the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen _______________________[Name of individual(s)] so that he/they may see and do his/their part in the Father's plan of salvation. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Our Lord. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

For Vocations:

Lord Jesus bless Your Church, with holy and faithful priests and deacons.  Call young men to serve You in the sacrament of Holy Orders, and grant them and their families the grace and courage to answer Your call. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Our Lord. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
